Inaugurated on May 18th 2015, the Matmut ATLANTIQUE Stadium hosts all the home matches of the FCGB, its resident football club, as well as numerous sporting events and concerts. It has notably hosted 5 matches of the UEFA Euro 2016™, the TOP 14 semi-finals (in 2015 and 2019) and matches of the National French Football Team. Renowned international artists such as Ed Sheeran, Céline Dion, Indochine and Soprano have already performed on its stage. Depeche Mode, Muse and Mylène Farmer are planned on 2023.
The stadium is also set to host five matches as part of the Rugby World Cup to be held in France in 2023 as well as football matches during the 2024 Olympic Games.
With a capacity of 42 000 seats, the venue is the largest stage on the Atlantic coast.
The Matmut ATLANTIQUE is also a reference venue in Bordeaux for the organisation of seminars. Its many lounges, auditoriums and terraces can be used throughout the year for corporate events.
The Stadium benefits from a hybrid pitch, PlayMaster carpet layed on an AirFibr substrate, which allows football and rugby to be played successively with perfect behavior. Since 2019 iTurf Management maintains the pitch and carry out the necessary works and maintenance on a daily basis.
